I ranked this one at no 1 because this one is my personal favorite. I use this tool a lot. Infact I do my 90% researches on this and “KeywordsEverywhere” tool. I will explain that one later.

Ubersuggest is an amazing free tool that can find more than 100 new long tail keywords for you in a few minutes.

It collects data from Google suggest and you can expect to get the right metrics for all your keywords from this tools, which will help you make an informed decision.

Mr Niel Patel acquired this free tool and then integrated it on his website. Niel bought it to increase his website ranking and the SEO community to use this tool. You have to spend $ 179 per month in such tools market. It is quickly gaining popularity since Neil’s “Tool Acquisition Announcement”.

Neil Patel is known among the top affilate marketers in the world, and the Ubersuggest (free, no credit card) given by him tries to provide you with keyword data which are not available in Google Keyword Planner.

Therefore, I would suggest that you should check this one before you try other keyword planners.

Although UberSuggest also provides the features of domain analysis, but today we will see only about its keyword research feature.

To use this keyword tool, type your keyword in the search box, select the country you are looking get audience and click on “search”.

If you are not satisfied with the overview of SERP, you can go to a full-fledged SERP analysis, which shows the first 100 results for the target keyword entered in Ubersuggest.

By using this you can get an idea how difficult or easy it is to rank in a niche market. You should avoid using keywords where SERP analysis brings back high domains from your domain score. For example, due to the SERP analysis below, it would be really difficult to rank for a keyword like “SEO” if you do not already have a high ranking domain.

Some benefits of using Ubersuggest in place of Keyword Planner:

  • Ubersuggest provides data of Google Trends in one portion. By knowing the trends, you can better choose the keywords whose search volume will be ahead.
  • You can also download your analysis reports in CSV file
  • Additional keywords are available which are not available in Google keyword planner and all.
  • You can use Ubersuggest to search for long tail keywords as well as LSI keywords.

2. Keywords Everywhere:-

Keywords Everywhere is a google chrome extension that I use a lot. All you need to do is just download this one on your PC or Laptop and then you will be asked to put a validation key which they will send to your Email. Just copy and paste the code and you are ready to go.
It was free when i wrote the post but from 1st october 2019 it’s going to be paid.
After that whenever you search anything on Google you will see an additional tab with Search Volume, CPC, and Competition.

3. Google Keyword Planner:-

Not only is Google Keyword Planner a good option when starting a new site, but it is one of the largest keyword databases in the world.
The primary benefit of this tool is: that it works equally well for keyword research and Pay-per-Click campaigns. It is more logical to use Google’s own tool to win Google.
First of all, you add your keyword in the search box.
From there google will list a report page on your screen, in which everything you need is given in a clear and concise manner.
Either way, you should focus on all keywords. Do you know if you get any more precious keyword, which will give you more benefit by using it?
Apart from your keyword, results are shown along with many other topics in it. Some of these may be right for you, some may not.
Each keyword suggestion provided by the tool is accompanied by several useful parameters, such as
  • Average monthly searches
  • Contest
  • Suggested Bid

Of course, the number of given data is very limited here, but it is sufficient to understand the quality of keywords at any point.

With GKP you have the opportunity to properly use historical data (average search volume of 12 search months) and features like filter keywords (keyword text, average monthly searches).
If you are going to run Google Ads campaign, then after selecting your search queries you can add them to your Ads compaign.
With the bidding system in Ads Campain, you can also know how much competition there is on that keyword. Always remember, usually the keywords for which search volume is high will also have higher CPC and competetion.
Simple Tip: GKP offers you some rough estimates instead of accurate search volume data, which some people find disappointing. But if you run Google Ads Campaign, then you can access the exact data related to those keywords.
And if you are an early blogger (<10,000 monthly traffic volume), then this estimated data is also great for writing new quality posts or improving existing articles.
In addition, Keyword Planner limits the number of Keyword suggestions. No matter how many different seed keywords you enter (you can type up to 3 keywords), the planner will not return more than 2,000 keywords, while other keyword tools can show ten times more keywords due to the fact Are But for this you will have to take their paid subscription.
Pros:-
  1. This is Google’s own tool
  2. One of the largest keyword databases
  3. Convenient Filtering
  4. Access to historical data
  5. Smooth user experience
Cons:-
  1. Approximate ranges of search volume
  2. Limited keyword suggestion

4. Keyword Shitter:-

It won’t take you long to guess what this actually does.
You just enter a “seed” a Keyword (or several) and click on “Shit Keywords!”
However, this tool will suggest many keywords, all of which may not be of use to you.
It brings suggestions by mineing Google’s autocomplete. Because of this, it is quite basic.
It does not show search volumes or trends data, nor does it give options to fitler keywords in any way (as Google keyword planner aur UberSuggest does).
But it has one notable feature: to filter positive and negative results.
So if we add the word “blog” to the positive filter, then it focuses our search on “blog” keywords.
Now you can see that it only selects questions with the word “blog”.
The negative filter does the opposite, and excludes “blog” questions from the results.

5. Soovle

Have you ever used Google’s autocomplete feature to create a keyword or blog post title?
If you have ever used this trick in the past, you will definitely like Soovle.
In short, this free keyword research tool provides autocomplete suggestions from various sources. Meaning it is not just limited to Google, besides Goolge, it collects autocomplete suggestions from amazon, wikipedia, bing, yahoo and Youtube and shows you on one screen.

It is quick, it is efficient and it can tell you about some good search words.
You can also analyze from this whether a search query is coming in demand other than Google.

6. Answer The Public:-

“Answer the Public” is a clever consumer insight tool that combines suggested searches from Bing and Google and finds commonly asked questions, proposals, comparisons, alphabets, and related searches by people.
This makes search cloud organized in categories like what, where and why people are typing in search engines from their various devices.
These types of insights are invaluable to content marketers for the following reasons:
This helps you to target your keyword research correctly.
This helps you optimize long-tail key phrases.
It helps you answer the questions that you can find in Google’s select snipet.
Once you establish the questions that people are asking regarding your product or service, you can start collecting more data with a keyword research tool.
Your use of generic and long-tail key phrases in content for your target auidience will increase your relevance in Google’s eyes.

After entering the keyword Seed, the first thing it will show you related questions.

Here, what, why, where, how, who, when are the questions with search queries listed?

For example, “why content marketing works”, or “when to use content marketing”

After that here are the queries with propositions – ie for, can, is, near, without, with, and to.

These are search queires that fit in the <seed> <preposition> [______] format.

Then we have queries that do comparisons – ie, versus, vs, and, like, or |

Once again, the format is <seed> <comparisons> [______].

For example, “content marketing vs native advertising,” or “content marketing vs blogging”

And finally we have alphabetical and related queries.

7. Google Trends

Although Google Trends is not a traditional keyword research tool, but it does not mean that it should be ignored.

If told about it briefly, then this tool shows the popularity of the search query given by you. Popularity score ranges from 0 to 100, with 100 points being the most popular rank. If you want, you can also compare different keywords. Also, you can also find out that the popularity of that keyword has been huge or worked in the last few times (eg from 1 month to 12 years).

I think the biggest benefit of Google Trends is to identify seasoned keywords. While other research tools tell you the expected monthly search volume of a keyword, the same Google trends tells you about the fluctuations in demand for the same keywords. Are people interested in him in any 1-2 months or the whole year.

For example, if you search for “fifa world cup”, you will see that its demand remains the same for 3.5 years but “peak at the time of world cup”.

Similarly, the demand for keywords like “chrismas gift” or “diwali wishes” is also there in few months of the year.

By collecting such information, you can plan articles in your niche in advance.

This tool gives you precious insights about many search trends, and gives information about the level of interest in particular topics changing over time.

Apart from keywords comparison, you can also see which search queries your target audience takes more interest in and what kind of top volume keywords are in your niche.

You can also analyze to some extent the popularity of that search query within a certain geographical area.

Even today, many marketing strategies are made by looking at such information.

But because this tool is not designed for SEO, you cannot try to identify micro niche level keywords or very narrow and specific queries from it.

For all, Google Trends is a very good and truly feature-rich tool for keyword search. Although it is not the best to be used by itself, it is still a good addition to all the above keyword searching.
